Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do

I just added The Sound of Music to my Netflix queue and I'm way too excited!

Who wants to visit Salzburg with me? We can sing in the Austrian Alps

 and wear dresses like these:

The Puzzle of Love

Hello blog world! Sorry I've been away for so long. It's not that I don't love you, it's that I'm lazy and watching 3rd Rock From the Sun on Netflix has seemed much more amusing. It's ridiculous, seriously, and there's no excuse! So here I am and I'm going to try my hardest to never let you down again!

So, I got back from Colorado last week. My good friend Heather Brown got married and I was fortunate enough to be part of her wedding. It was beautiful (pictures to come)! When I got home Elephant surprised me with a clean home and this:

What is this you might ask? It's exactly what it says it is, a puzzle of love. Spencer, inspired by Richard G. Scott and knowing how much I adore tiny things, created a tiny puzzle stuffed in a tiny envelope describing how much he loves and cares for me.

Thank you Spencer for being such an amazing husband! I know you had no idea the puzzle would take hours to finish but don't worry, the final result made the whole thing worth it. Please keep the tiny presents coming.

Love,
Bunny

Insomnia II

More nonsense from an insomnia stricken man:

There is no opposition...Nothing, Nothing, Nothing...You can't talk and you can't walk...That was a romantic trick...There loss!...I hate that, it's sketchy

Mr. Elephant, someday this will end but in the mean time, keep writing.

Love, Bunny

Easter Pageant

A few days ago Spencer, myself, Kylee and Aaron attended the Easter Pageant. It was amazing! The performance was great. This year Spencer camped out so our seats were pretty close to the front. He was the only one there the night before the pageant but it was totally worth it! Wouldn't that be hilarious! No, he didn't get there the night before but he did get there pretty early.

I love the Easter Pageant and am so grateful for the spirit there. Their depiction of the Savior, His life, crucifixion and resurrection is unique and beautiful. If you haven't had a chance to attend you definitely should, you wont regret it!

Happy Easter everyone!

A Beautiful Mind

The other day I came home and walked in on this:

Mr. Elephant wearing a dress shirt (with a pen in his pocket), a tie, green gym shorts, and his grandfathers glasses. He seemed to be studying. I immediately broke into laughter. When I asked him about his appearance he replied "I'm trying to be like John Nash from the movie A Beautiful Mind, I'm pretending to be just as smart as he is and it's working!" What kind of music you might ask was he listening to? Classical of course :).

This man never ceases to crack me up! I'll let you know if he starts hanging up newspapers around our house and talking about conspiracies.

Midnight Word Soup

So Mr. Elephant (AKA the husband) has terrible spells of insomnia. This usually causes him to spend much of the night reading, writing, studying and drawing. I in the mean time sleep quite comfortably, gosh do I love sleep. That's beside the point though. Back to his insomnia. Spencer has explained to me on numerous occasions that the cause of his insomnia is the repetitive phrases that pop in his head. A few nights ago he decided to write these phrases down as to have a record for his journal. I'm SO glad he did. Here's what he wrote (the ...'s represent several minutes between each phrase):

"With a violent career of crime and rampage...We are screwed...I got a pocket got a pocket full of sunshine (x1000)...What are we doing!?!...DetenTION!...I was fear fighting, fighting, fighting for my life...Follow me...Scott Knowls is in trouble...I was sure of his power...That was complicated to hear."

I can't wait to get old with him. I can only imagine the crazy things he'll do and say! It's gonna be great. Thanks for being the goofy guy you are Mr. Elephant.

I love you.

P.O.S.H...posh

I forgot how loud our family could be! Skyler came home and seriously there has been nothing but non-stop singing and story telling...I love that things are still the same!

More importantly though, I love how things have changed. Don't get me wrong, by brother was amazing before he left, but the spirit he came home with is different. He's still the same Skyler who loves to make people laugh, sing out of tune and play sports. It's his testimony of the Gospel and it's truthfulness that's changed. His closeness to our Heavenly Father has increased and his love for the Gospel has tripled! He's amazing and I'm so grateful he served a righteous mission.
